Yes, you read the title correctly. In the next season of Batman: The Brave and The Bold animated cartoon series they are going to do an episode that is a musical! In other words, all of the characters will sing their lines, YES! This sounds totally wacky crazy & could turn out to be a very artistic & fun thing. We’ll just have to wait & see. I just hope they do it well. The actor Neil Patrick Harris with play a villain named “The Music Meister”. The title of the TV show will be “Mayhem of The Music Meister”. I, nor anyone else, have not received any video trailer footage of this yet but as soon as I do you know it will be posted both here & on my YouTube account, ha ha! In these Authorized Video Clips from Warner Bros we get to see some action from the next NEW episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD! This show is titled “Revenge of The Reach” & the Special Guest Stars will be Blue Beetle & Guy Gardner with the Green Lantern Corps. ( The “Challengers of The Unknown” will be in the guests in the teaser-part of the show ). It will air on January 1st, 2010 on the Cartoon Network. The Basic Plot is: Blue Beetle is finally ready for a mission of his own and things go smoothly until he tries to deliver his captured villain to Oa, where he is attacked by the Green Lanterns! Blue’s scarab is revealed to be linked to an army of evil aliens known as the Reach – does he have the power to resist their influence?
Here’s a very clever BATMAN TATTOO sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Zachary. He totally loves BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES & to prove it his tattoo shows 3 frames from the Animation Storyboard for the cartoon’s opening intro. WOW! That’s very original & actually very very cool! He said he got the image from the BATMAN ANIMATED Book by Paul Dini & Chip Kidd. I love that book. It’s a great “behind the scenes” look at the making of the TV Show. It came out a few years ago & is a total fan-favorite among many Batman Collectors ( For more info I posted an Amazon link at the bottom of this post ). The MTV Splash Page just released a new video clip recently from BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD. In the beginning there’s a very short intro by Batman voice actor Bruce Greenwood. Then, we get to see some more action from the movie. This new animated film from the DC Universe will be released on July 27th, 2010 on DVD & Blu-Ray. The Premiere will be this year’s San Diego Comic Con & most of the actors will be there. That list will include Bruce Greenwood ( “Star Trek” movie ), John DiMaggio (“Futurama” Cartoon ) as the Joker, Jensen Ackles (“Supernatural” TV Show ) as Red Hood, and Neil Patrick Harris (“Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”) as Nightwing.
This Sunday, October 31st, look for a fun episode of THE BATMAN with a Special Halloween holiday theme. It will be on the Boomerang Network at 11:30 pm ( Eastern Time, check your local listings ). The title of the show is “Grundy’s Night,” it’s a fan-favorite from the 2nd season of the series. Just to be clear, I’d like to mention that this is the animated series that ran from 2004 to 2008, it’s NOT “The Brave and The Bold”. The basic plot is that Solomon Grundy rises from a swamp on Halloween to wreak havoc on Gotham City. Of course the Dark Knight is there to spoil his plans… sounds like a good time, check it out!
