If you can’t have superhero powers, you might as well smell like one. The Avengers Assembled Cologne Set is now available in the Nerd Approved Shop!
The set comes with four fragrances representing Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Thor. Each scent is supposed to smell just like the character, but I don’t know how they figured it out. I’d be very interested to sample each of these. If nothing else though, the bottles are cool and given the affordable price, I’d consider buying them just to put on display.

This Optimus Prime eye makeup will be perfect when the next installment in the Transformers movie franchise hits theaters next year. Jangsara’s idea was to make her eyes look like the flames on the side of Optimus Prime’s truck and she achieved her goal. She also put up a step-by-step so you can duplicate the look on your own.

What really makes this fun is that designer Jason Wu isn’t actually calling this a Pok mon handbag. He’s calling it the Jourdan Backpack which he named after model Jourdan Dunn, but it’s still a Pok ball to me. The bag is made of baby calf and Saffiano leather and has a designer price to match the fancy name. It’ll set you back $1740, but you’ll be the envy of all the other trainers.

Ben and Mimi had a charming wedding, and one aspect in particular jumped out at me: the groomsmen’s boutonnieres. They weren’t flowers or anything else I’ve ever seen, they were action figures! I know. It sounds like it might be garish, but it actually works and it definitely looks like it fits into the overall tone of Ben and Mimi’s celebration.
Mimi asked the groomsmen who their favorite superheroes were, and she crafted the fantastic accessories. The round-up includes Batman, Professor X, Jesus, Iron Man, and Superman.

There are steampunk watches, and then there are steampunk watches. These beautiful designs by Etsy seller Rubbertoe Rayguns are definitely in the latter (cooler) category. He mixes Italian leather, aluminum, and LEDs to create watch designs that aren’t like any I’ve seen before. They really nail the mix between Victorian aesthetics and modern technology.
He has a few different styles listed in the shop, and it looks like they’re customizable to a certain degree. Be sure to ask before you purchase!

Nothing completes a costume like a beautiful handmade prop, and this hand-carved Hylian shield is in a class of its own. DeviantArt user clefrayearth built it from scratch, and it looks like it involved a lot of leveling up. Designing, carving, staining – it probably took a fair amount of time but it’s totally worth it. It’s stunning.

Tokyoflash has introduced a gorgeous new watch design: the Kisai Polygon. The stainless steel watch has angled surfaces and mirrored LCD segments that present the time in a different and easy to read way.
Twelve polygons on the outer ring of the display showcase the hours; they’re in the same place they would be on a regular clock. The six triangles in the next ring represent the minute hands, and single minutes are displayed in the center of the display. It takes a second but once you look at the examples, you’ll be able to tell what time it is with a glance.
The Kisai Polygon design is limited so if you want one, buy it now.

Legend of Zelda apparel usually features the Hylian Shield or the Triforce symbol. Both of those are great of course, but it’s nice to see a different design featured. This Temple hoodie by Jon Kay features an intricate design and comes in forest green and and dark red. It looks like just the thing to keep you warm while you’re exploring!

Hobbits have a knack for running around in their naked, hairy feet. It’s like they’ve never heard of shoes or something. It might be nice in the summer, but what about sharp sticks hidden in the grass? Still, if you long to have feet like Frodo, then these socks will make your dreams of running through The Shire just a little closer. They’re 85% Cotton, 10% Nylon and 5% Elasthane. One size fits most.
