Last night I got an e-mail from a friend named Wes. It looks like he has been pretty busy getting more tattoo work done! In fact he’s got an entire “arm sleeve” of work done. He sent us some really great photos showing the new work & it’s totally amazing art! Just check out the pictures if ya don’t believe me, ha ha! ( Click on them for larger images with more detail ). He now has Catwoman, The Joker, The Penguin, & The Riddler! Previously he had Batman & The Scarecrow. Dang! Wes, these are seriously awesome & very well done. I love the coloring & the clean sharpness…they’re GREAT! Thank you for taking the time to take these photos, I appreciate that. Also, please let the tattoo artist know that we here at the Bat-Blog think that he ( or she ) is a true art master! I guess I’ll shut-up now & just let the photos speak for themselves, ha ha! As a side note I would like to invite any other readers who have got some Bat-Tat work to please send us some pics too, thanks.

OK, I know, I have not had a Bat-Blog Contest in a little while but I was so overwhelmed with them for a while that I had to take a break. But the good news is a loyal Bat-Blog Reader, named “The BATFAN”, decided to very generously donate a few prizes so…WOW! HERE WE GO!! In this contest there are 2 fabulous prizes for one lucky winner! The main item is a beautiful 18 Oz. Ceramic Sculpted Batman Mug that comes with the original box, all in MINT condition! I really like the design of this thing, it’s really great quality. The handle is sort of bat-shaped like something you would be in the Batman Universe, ha ha! The BATMAN Logo on the front is embossed. I guess another way to put it is that you can “feel the logo because it is raised”. Overall it has a really great look about it & would be cool for people to drink coffee in while they read the Bat-Blog every single day, ha ha! The other great thing is that there is also a BONUS prize! Yeah, besides getting the cool mug, the winner will ALSO get a special BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Promotional Prize. It’s a wind-up figure of some chattering teeth with the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game logo printed on the top. This goofy item actually appears in the game because the Joker has special bombs he randomly places around the environment to foil Batman. During game play it’s your job, as Batman, to use your Batarang to destroy these as you come across them…very cool! This item was a special promo you could only get at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con ( SDCC ’09 ). Overall both prizes are really awesome! So, check this out, here are the rules: All you have to do is send us an e-mail with your full name & address. Plus, put “BATMAN MUG & TEETH” in the title. I would also like to know how you discovered the Bat-Blog. But telling us that info is not required, I’m just curious, ha ha! Basically, you just e-mail us your full name/address with the special title. That’s it, easy as pie!! Now, the contest will run until September 20th, 2009 & will end that day at midnight. At 12:01 we will randomly pick a winner from the list & the winner will be notified right here on the Bat-Blog the very next day ( Sept 21st ). I guess, for legal reasons, I gotta say that this event is not connected in any way to Warner Bros or DC Comics. We also pay all the postage so it’s totally free to enter. One last thing, on a personal level I wanna thank the BATFAN for donating these wonderful prizes. If the Bat-Blog is any good at all it’s because of it’s amazing readers, I really mean that. Thank you Batfan & good luck to everybody else!
- The contest is open to the general public as well as anyone currently reading the BAT-BLOG on a daily basis. Employees of the Bat-Blog and employees’ immediate family members and persons with whom such employees are domiciled are excluded from this contest.
- The prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded.
- Decisions of the contest judges are final – no substitutions will be available.
- By claiming the prize, the winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph and municipality of residence for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium (including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the internet and picture date storage) which Bat-Blog may deem appropriate.
- In accepting the prize, the winner, and any reader(s), acknowledges that the Bat-Blog may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using this prize.
- The person whose name is drawn as being the winner of the specific prize will be required to send us their correct mailing information before the prize is awarded to them. Postage to be paid, free of charge, by the Bat-blog.
- Detailed contest rules applicable to this contest, including contest entry dates, how to enter, and prize value, number and any restrictions applicable to these prizes are available upon request by reading these Contest Rules, ha ha!

Awhile back, here at the Bat-Blog, we featured a photo of an awesome BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Custom Bat-Suit Costume made by our friend Paul. He lives in Australia. Well, recently he & a few of his friends went to a convention event in Brisbane, all dressed-up in Batman related Costumes! We have all the major characters covered: Batman, Robin, Joker, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Two-Face, Commissioner James “Jim” Gordon, The Riddler, & one other character who’s name I forget at this moment ( Sorry, is it Anarchy? ). The great thing was they were able to get a few really wonderful photos during this time ( Please be sure to click on these pics for larger, more detailed, versions ). Now if I got the info correct, this 1st photo ( close-up shot ) was taken on the 2nd day & a couple of people changed costumes. But the other 2 pics were shot on the 1st day when they were really goofing around! The shot of them all walking towards you. That is a parody of the opening credits sequence of the JUSTICE LEAGUE cartoon ( imagine them in slow motion, ha ha ). The next one is a really famous parody that everyone should recognize right away. It’s The Beatles ABBEY ROAD Album Cover!! OK, I really love all these costume pics but the homage to The Beatles just totally cracks me up! Ha Ha Ha, it’s so GREAT! I wanna thank Paul for sharing these fun photos with my readers. Thanks Paul, everybody is gonna totally love these. I also wanna send a shout-out to all of your friends who got dressed up…you guys all look great & your costumes are awesome too…even the girl who’s character I can’t remember the name of because I’m totally stupid, ha ha! Oh man, I wish I had some of these for Halloween this year!

Here’s an awesome Vintage Family Photo from around 1989 ( or early 90’s maybe? ) showing our friend Steven & his brother dressed-up for Halloween as Batman & The Joker! Now, Steven wore the Joker outfit while his brother got to don the Batman mask. I totally love the facial expressions on both kids. They are really super-excited & you can tell that they mean business! Little Batman’s “Fight Pose” is priceless! Since Halloween is right around the corner I’m asking all Bat-Blog Readers right now to send us your Halloween memories. We’re looking for older photos ( or new ones ) that have people wearing Batman-related costumes. Even if it’s just you wearing a mask! Thanks. Oh yeah, and a special thanks to Steven for sending this wonderful photo, it’s very mush appreciated!

Shown here is a Batman & Joker comic strip found at a web comic page called AMAZING SUPERPOWERS ( Click on it for a larger, more readable, version ). Our friend Eben sent it to us & it’s pretty funny! In fact, when I went there to check it out I ended-up spending about 20-30 minutes just reading all the ones stored in the archives, ha ha! Thanks for sending the link Eben. Hey, if anybody else wants to check it out then just click HERE!
OK, I hope I don’t need to explain who Pablo Picasso is, ha ha! But he was an artist who helped define Modern Art & one of his most popular styles was cubism. Well, the designers at WONDER BROS recently created many Superhero Paintings in the Picasso-Style & they’re totally AWESOME! In fact, the name of the Gallery is “Artwork So Awesome It will Melt Your Face Off”, ha ha! Now because the Bat-Blog is all Batman-related I only posted the ones of Batman & The Joker but if you visit their website you can see ones of Spiderman, Wolverine, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Silver Surfer, Superman, Green Lantern, Captain America, & many many more! They are all extremely funny & very well-executed…To see them all, just click HERE!

It looks like, because of the success of the 1st one, they’re gonna make a sequel…AWESOME!! The temporary title is “Arkham Asylum 2″ but it looks like it will feature Gotham City as the playing ground…can’t wait! This Teaser Trailer looks great! Please be sure to stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for all future Batman Gaming News!

OK, I know that coverage on THE DARK KNIGHT Batman movie is sort of “old news” now but there are still a ton of people who are HUGE Fans of this film. I know that, personally, I have a kind of “love & hate” feeling about it. I love the movie because it’s totally great & was a lot of fun. On the other hand, as a “Batman News Reporter”, I had to cover the thing night & day for many months before it even came out. I sort of got totally burned-out on it before it hit the Movie Theater & I remember that when I went to go enjoy the movie I had to sort of shake off all the information I had acquired about it. But, thank God, it was an AWESOME movie!
Now, since some time has gone by I’d like to share these TDK Wallpapers that are pretty cool! The 1st one is Heath Ledger, as The JOKER, driving the School Bus right after the Bank Robbery…a great image & awesome background! The next one is sort of a PROMO portrait of Batman, Two-Face, & The Joker. These were done by a Digital Artist named “Messenjah Matt”. He took a ton of photographic images from the movie & then digitized them into graphics that made awesome backgrounds. If you like these 2 examples, then please be sure to visit his website where there are many many more, just click HERE!
