Latest ‘Batman vs. Superman’ Rumor, is Bryan Cranston Warner Bros’ Pick for Lex Luthor?

cranston_freeze

Ever since the announcement Warner Bros. is working on Batman vs. Superman as their Man of Steel follow-up there have been rumors a-plenty about who’s going to play Batman; but what of the villain? With David S. Goyer’s screenplay in no way finalized we won’t know for sure who the big bad is, but the name everyone’s thinking? Lex Luthor.

Lexcorp was an easter egg splattered all over Man of Steel, basically cementing the bald, business savvy nemesis of Superman would appear sooner than later. And now there’s already a rumor floating around about who’ll play him: Bryan Cranston. All stemming from a supposed scoop scored by Latino Review’s El Mayimbe, check out these teasing tweets,

Actor for Lex is so painfully obvious/on the nose, u wouldn’t believe me even if I told you. Hell, I don’t believe it myself. Take a guess?

FANBOY BLIND ITEM: Which superhot actor finishing final season of hit TV show who also was in 2 films for WB is up for juicy badguy part?

FINAL CLUE FOR Y’ALL FANBOY KNUCKLEHEADS WHO CAN’T TAKE A HINT: This actor played a bad guy (embarrassed that he did) on the POWER RANGERS.

See how it all connects so beautifully? Breaking Bad is about to enter its final season and perhaps Cranston isn’t quite tired of that bald look just yet. And yeah, this all only rumor, but how AMAZING would this be if it comes true?

Oh! And if you were wondering about that Power Rangers clue, Cranston has indeed admitted to voicing Power Rangers’ villains in the past.

But as for the rumor Cranston is our next Luthor, we can only wait and see.

World-Wide Batmania!

Shown here, for your viewing pleasure, are 3 cool foreign Batman Comic Books. The 1st one is Arabic, the 2nd is Italian, & the 3rd is English ( but from the UK ). All of these are vintage comics & not modern-day. So, I’m curious. Does anyone out there live outside the USA where there are “foreign language” bat-books currently being published? If so, then please let us know. Also, if you have some photos of what they look like then that would be great too, thanks!

Warner Bros. May Have Thrown Out Its ‘Justice League’ Script Due To General Terribleness

Marvel Studios made doing a superhero team-up movie seem easy, but as Warner Bros. is finding out, it really, really isn’t.

We’ve already heard Warners is starting to get cold feet and are waiting on the success Man of Steel before moving ahead, and now there’s word they’ve thrown out their current Justice League script because, well, it’s really bad. Reportedly the trashed script featured Darkseid as the big bad guy and was a bit of a shambles due to superheroes being inserted and removed from it constantly (sexy). Oh, and it was written by Will Beall, the guy behind Gangster Squad (32% on RottenTomatoes).

What’s that I hear? Is it the sound of a money dump truck backing up to Christopher Nolan’s front door?

CW’s ‘Arrow’ Has An Ace Up Its Sleeve, Along With The Rest Of The Royal Flush Gang

Well now, for a TV show I had cynically dismissed upon first hearing about it, CW’s Arrow is really working hard to earn some nerdcred. Zap2it is reporting that Kyle Schmid (Being Human) will appear as Ace, with the rest of the Royal Flush Gang in tow. The playing card theme baddies have long been mid-level criminals in the DCU and will make their first non-animated small screen debut in episode six of the upcoming TV show about the emerald archer. No word yet Schmid’s Ace will be an android like the character was in the comics.

Now, if you have been keeping track, CW’s Arrow already has a long list comic book characters planned. I don’t want to jinx it, but could it be that DC and the CW just might be about to do comic books on the small screen right? Not to harp on the past, but Smallville‘s ‘no tights, no flights’ rule was the main reason I avoided the show. By the looks of things Arrow isn’t shying away from it’s source material to much.

Arrow premieres on Wednesday, October 10th.
